About Pack 127

Welcome to Pack 127’s website!

We are an active co-ed, non-denominational pack comprised of kids (and parents) in kindergarten (Lions) through fifth grade (Arrow of Light (AOL)). We have an awesome Cub Scout history and a year-round den program rich in tradition and adventure. We serve the communities and families around Centreville Elementary School (CES).

Pack 127 is about having fun, learning life skills, and building character. The Cub Scout program is full of adventures and activities that help kids learn to be prepared, be model citizens, and develop resiliency. Our kids want to do their best, and Cub Scouts gives them every opportunity to learn and grow. Cub Scouts is fun, but it’s not always easy. The program is meant to challenge kids to do their best. Our scouts learn a lot about themselves along their path from Lion (kindergarten), to Tiger (1st grade), to Wolf (2nd grade), to Bear (3rd grade), to Webelos (4th grade), and AOL (5th grade). It’s educational. It’s healthy, and it’s FUN!

Pack 127 serves the communities and families around CES, with the CES PTA as our current Charter Organization.  We have over 25 active Cub Scouts supported by their parents/guardians. You may have seen our scouts in the community in November putting out flyers and collecting food for our annual Scouting for Food program. You may have seen some of our scouts on local hiking trails, parks, or community events. Your kids may have seen some of our scouts on the CES morning news shows talking about their latest adventures and service programs.

Some examples of our adventures and service include:

Den Activities: hikes, outings, model rockets, ecology, knots, whittling, and much more…

Pack Activities: Pine Wood Derby (Winter), Rain Gutter Regatta (Spring), Spring & Fall Camping, Camp Fires, Service Projects, and more…

District Activities: Summer Day Camp (hiking, archery, fishing, swimming, crafts, BB gun shooting, and games), Scouting Olympics, Scouting Day sports events, and more…

Council Activities: Summer Resident Camp at Goshen Scout Reservation

Pack 127 meets most Mondays at 6:00 pm at Centreville Elementary School, 14330 Green Trails Blvd., Centreville, VA 20121.
(Access to full calendar is limited to those who are logged in, but the upcoming events are listed on the right-hand side of the welcome page if you are not logged in.)

The pack is in the Cub Run District of the National Capital Area Council.

Pack 127 is a 100% volunteer organization which depends on parent/guardian participation. Cub Scouts is a great way to spend time and bond with your child as they grow and make memories that will last a lifetime.

We are always recruiting. We wish everyone could have this much FUN. We welcome all boys and girls in grades Kindergarten through 5th Grade. The uniform will seem a bit big at first, but don’t worry. They grow into it, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Get more involved with your kids in a way that puts the fun first.

This website is our way to stay organized and communicate about upcoming events and activities.
